Wow. It's now 7 days until the departure. I can't sleep not sure why. I don't feel bad, just wide awake.
Thinking back over this whole thing I'm totally blown away by the timing of it all. We were so anxious for him to find a job but really if the job had come any sooner than it did, we wouldn't have finished the house. If we hadn't finished the house, we wouldn't have gotten the price we got. This way, not only did we get a good price, but it also elevated the neighbor's values, so that blesses everybody!
I always wanted to keep a diary but never got around to actually writing anything. I hope to be more disciplined on that going forward. I want to be able to look back and read what God has done.
Got a job offer from Deb Luttrell at Stitchin' Heaven for a kit cutter. I hurt my shoulder in 2005 doing that for Quilt in a Day so I turned it down. I would have liked to work with her. I believe God is going to give me a job doing something I will love. What that is, I'm not even sure yet. I want to design quilts for Block of the Month programs and that is exactly what Deb does. She is known for providing BOM kits. Guess I better get to designing!

A new start
In 11 days I will make one of the largest moves of my life. Texas, here I come! Longview to be precise. Way up in the Piney Woods of East Texas, a stone's throw away from Louisiana.
Having lived in California for the last 26 years, I've sort of lost touch with my roots, being a native Texan and all.
I stopped saying "ya'll".
I stopped saying "fixina".
I lost my twang.
But I never lost my Texas pride!
I started out a City Mouse (from Houston) and my DH is a Country Mouse (from Escondido, CA). It has always been his dream to have his own land so he can hunt on it. I gotta admit, I'm a little scared, but also very excited at the same time to start this new chapter in my life.
Ya Hoo!
